Hearing Dogs

If you have a diagnosed hearing loss, we can help you train your dog to:

· Be by your side in public places as a visible sign to others that you may not be able to hear them

· Let you know if someone is asking for your attention

· Alert you to fire or smoke alarms or other important environmental sounds

· Let you know when your doorbell or phone rings, or someone calls your name

· Support you to gain more independence 

Each Hearing Dog will learn at least three specific tasks to support you in helpful ways and to mitigate the effects of your hearing loss. They will be trained to alert you to the specific sounds you want them to recognise, using a nose bump, a gentle paw nudge, or by jumping up to get your attention.
