Owner-training an assistance dog means training your own pet dog to support your individual disability-related needs. Owner-training can be undertaken independently or with guidance and support from an experienced trainer or assistance dog organisation.
While you can legally owner-train your assistance dog without being affiliated with an organization, not everyone can do it alone. That’s where we come in—we’re here to support and guide you through your training journey, ensuring you and your dog receive the help you need.
Beyond training, we work closely with families and uphold high standards to ensure service providers recognise and trust our organisation. This commitment helps ensure that our clients have truly open access to all the services they need.
We have trainers all over the UK who work with our families and their dogs specifically to train calm and focussed behaviour and excellent handling skills, for a solid and trustworthy partnership when out and about in public.
Your Pawsable link trainer works with you as an integral part of your affiliation with us on an ongoing basis throughout your partnership, to make sure your dog handling and your dog's skills remain appropriate to their job.
Pawsable is here to help those who 'owner-train' their own dogs to do so with confidence, with the support of an experienced group of dog training professionals, providing a well proven training framework and ultimately, peace of mind.
